couple fights over mattress in court, seeks divorce

A shari’ah court in Kaduna has ordered a divorce-seeking woman, Halima Ahmad, to return a mattress belonging to her estranged husband, Suleiman Atiku.

Both parties appeared in court on Monday, while struggling over the mattress said to have belonged to Suleiman.

Suleiman, who is a correctional service officer, had earlier asked for the mattress before agreeing to her divorce request.
