Stop calling it “Gap teeth” or “open teeth” : This is the correct word to say

Having a space in between two upper front teeth has always been one of the desires of women as they feel it add to a lady’s beauty in one way or the other but it’s so obvious that a great number of people often make the mistake of referring to teeth with space in between as “gap teeth” or “Open teeth”.

The gap between two upper and lower front teeth is called a diastema. The term “Diastema” is also the correct word to say when referring to a missing tooth. 

There are many reasons for this gap so it is important to know how to pronounce it correctly. You can get away with pronouncing it a gap tooth but the correct term is diastema.

I prefer gap tooth diastema sounds like a disease
