Female doctor dies in elevator accident at Lagos hospital, two weeks before completing housemanship.

Dr. Vwaere Diaso, a medical doctor who completed her degree at Babcock University, tragically passed away in an elevator accident at the General Hospital in Odan, Lagos state on August 1.

She was on her way to pick up her meal from a dispatch ride when the elevator, which had been faulty for some time, crashed from the 10th floor to the ground floor.

Despite being rushed to the emergency ward, she couldn’t survive. Friends and colleagues allege that the hospital management neglected to repair the faulty elevator despite previous complaints and concern
