Woman poisons 2-year old son after quarrels with spouse

A twenty-year-old woman was arrested by police officers for poisoning and killing her two-year-old son after fights with her husband in Ikoro village, Gucha south subcounty.

According to the police report, Edna Magoma had confided in someone that she poisoned her son after she encountered violence from her husband.

Magoma told the police officers, yesterday at noon, her two-year-old son was playing outside their house when he complained of stomachache and he started vomiting.

She perceived the smell of Diazinon and rushed her to Gucha district hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Scene was proceeded and documented and some soiled clothes with smell of diazinon were kept as exhibits. The body was taken to Gucha hospital mortuary pending autopsy
