DSS arraigns Ex-CBN Gov Emefiele

The former Gorvernor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has will be arraigned today by Department of State Security (DSS) at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for his alleged possession of a single-barrel shotgun without a license.

It will be recalled that Emefiele was arrested weeks after President Bola Tinubu was sworn in as President after spearheading a currency change policy that threw Nigeria into financial crisis.

Before his arraignment, there has been calls by his lawyer and a number of notable Nigerians for him to be arraigned or released.
